‘We are like a tree: With God's love, we grow! But with hate, we stay a seed’

Mark Eke, Grade 4, April 2007
'And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened'
Luke 11:9-10

Christmas, part 1
9 - 15 Dec, 2018

‘And God showed His love for us by sending His only Son into the world, so that we might have life through Him’ 1 John 4:9

Christmas is the beginning of the salvation of humankind. God, the Word, the Son, has become man. Simeon was a just and devout man, filled with the Holy Spirit. His goal was to have a personal encounter with Christ. The birth of Christ was joy for the wise men but a reason for fear to Herod. Christ’s presence changes things radically. The ‘old self’ fell and the ‘new creation’ started with the Incarnation of Christ and the Redemption that He offered. In His first Coming, Jesus was wrapped with clothes in a manger. In His second, He will cover Himself with light
